¶We have not been able to identify the original German; the English title does not seem to bear any resemblance to her published body of work. Louise Pichler, née Zeller, wrote several historical novels, often set in the 16th and 17th centuries. The action in A Daughter of Rome takes place in the year AD 1000. FIRST ENGLISH EDITION.
