Half titles, vignette titles, illus., 2pp ads (in each vol.). Vol. I in orig. red-brick glazed boards, vol. II. in orig. red-pink paper boards, both with green cloth spines, paper labels; both vols darkened & rubbed, sl. chipped at heads & tails of spines. Ink stamp to all pastedowns: 'J. Bryant, 50 Edgware Rd.'

¶Vol. I, Copac lists only three copies of this edition in Glasgow, Birmingham, and V&A. Second Series, Copac lists only three copies in BL, NLS, and Newcastle. Whims and Oddities of 1826 and the Second Series of 1827 were Hood's second (and third) separately published works after Odes and Addresses to Great People. The works enjoyed great success and were widely printed throughout his lifetime and into the late nineteenth century.
