¶William Watson, 1858-1935, poet best known for his sometimes controversial political content; he was also a contributor of The Yellow Book. Odes and Other Poems was published the year after Watson had a mental breakdown. He expresses gratitude for his recovery in the poem Vita Nuovo writing: 'I too have come through wintry terrors, - yea,/ Through tempest and through cataclysm of soul/ Have come, and am delivered ...'
